BN Smash

BN Smash, by Ben Nathan, is a free distorted blackletter display font with a bruised, mashed-up Gothic feel. The letters keep the dense medieval weight of blackletter, then warp it with blunt curves, uneven bites, and swollen joins that make the whole font feel pressed, bent, and a little unruly.

That gives BN Smash a natural place in poster work, music flyers, skate graphics, zine covers, title cards, and short merch lettering where the heavy old-world mood needs a rougher edge. As a free font, it makes the most sense in big words and compact headlines, because those thick, battered shapes do the talking fast.
