Cropfont Expanded, created by Thomas Canale in 2013, is a free comic display font with towering, broad letters and a deliberately unruly silhouette. Its dense strokes shift between blunt slabs and pinched curves, and the uneven shapes give the lettering the look of hand-cut poster type.

A comedy festival poster is an especially apt setting for its oversized proportions and crowded, boisterous character. The same forceful drawing can suit children's publishing, snack packaging, and music merchandise aimed at an irreverent audience. Across those uses, the recurring squeezed joins and abruptly changing widths can echo cut-paper illustration, loud mascots, or other rough-edged graphic motifs.
