CRU Nonthawat Bold by Prachid Tinnabutr is a free distorted display font with swollen, theatrical letterforms. Thick rounded masses squeeze into narrow joins, then break into sharp hooks and flame-like tips. The uneven silhouettes make familiar letters look fluid and slightly unruly.
Posters are its strongest medium, especially for experimental music, nightlife events, and surreal entertainment graphics. It also gives merchandise a mischievous, almost molten emblem. The curling tips can echo smoke, liquid shapes, or psychedelic illustration, letting the lettering become part of the artwork.
