Dorian Gray, designed by P.A. Vannucci, is a free cinematic serif display font with an elegant, slightly unsettling edge. Tall capitals combine fine hairlines with broad, sweeping curves and sharply tapered diagonals. The silhouette is formal but theatrical.
Literary mystery and period drama are its most convincing territory, especially for book covers, film posters, and title sequences. The long strokes and severe points can also give fashion editorials or fragrance packaging a refined Gothic tension without relying on blackletter conventions. In illustrated work, those blade-like diagonals can echo architectural shadows, antique frames, or the angular folds of period costume.
