DS Motion Italic, designed by Dubina Nikolay of D-Studio in Moscow, is a free heavy italic serif built for forceful display work. The letters lean hard to the right, combining broad rounded masses with sharp joins, compact wedge-like serifs, and visibly changing stroke widths.
That racing and action-sports flavor makes it convincing for event posters, team merchandise, and game graphics, where the forward pitch can suggest speed before any imagery appears. It also has the punch of comic entertainment lettering. On album covers and youth-oriented packaging, the chunky curves can become part of an illustrated burst, badge, or motion trail rather than sitting as neutral type.
