DS UstavHand, designed by Dubina Nikolay of D-Studio in Moscow, is a free medieval display font with the broad gestures of hand-cut inscriptional lettering. Its tall forms combine sweeping curves, abrupt tapered points, and marked shifts between broad and fine strokes. The uneven silhouettes keep the lettering lively.

In publishing, it can set an atmospheric title for fantasy novels or historical features, where the dark, archaic forms immediately establish the subject. The same pointed curves make sense on game graphics, festival posters, and themed packaging, echoing heraldic ornament and the sharp contours of illustrated armor or old decoration carved in stone.
