HFF Light Petals by Have Fun with Fonts is a free light serif display font with tall, spare letters and fine, nearly even strokes. Rounded tips soften the sharp feet and give the narrow forms elegance.

Botanical line drawings echo the tiny bud-like tips, making the lettering suited to florist branding, wedding invitations, and delicate packaging. In publishing, it can lend poetry covers and fashion editorials a refined period note without looking strictly historical.

The font is based on Pastel (Bounce) from Dan Solo’s *Brushstroke and Free-Style Alphabets*. Filmotype released Pastel as a phototype in the 1950s.

HFF Light Petals is based on Pastel, from page 90 of "Brushstroke and Free-Style Alphabets: 100 Complete Fonts" by Dan X. Solo, first published by Dover Publications in 1977. Pastel is also featured in "The Solotype Catalog of 4,147 Display Typefaces".
