KG Primary Italics Lined by Kimberly Geswein is a free school handwriting font with a forward slant and built-in practice rules. Its tall, rounded letters combine simple classroom forms with the motion of flowing penmanship.

In Primary Italics Lined, the spacebar inserts a blank space. To add a lined section, use the vertical bar (|) key. On my keyboard, it is below Backspace and shares a key with the backslash; its location may differ on other keyboards. This allows both lined and unlined spaces.
