Mad Science by Daniel Gauthier of GautFonts is a free distorted display font whose jagged, hairline fringe turns the lettering into a rough electric silhouette. That spiky edge repeats all the way around the forms, so the design feels charged and unstable rather than simply roughened or grungy.

It makes the most sense on horror flyers, Halloween party graphics, arcade-style posters, science-themed event titles, and loud video thumbnails where that buzzing outline can do the talking. Short headings, logo experiments, and sticker-style graphics benefit most, because the shaggy border gives each word a crackling comic-monster presence.
