Maiers Nr8 Halbfett by Ingo Zimmermann is a free eroded display font shaped by broad upright forms and small white chips that look knocked out of the black surface. The distressing is sparse rather than grungy, so the lettering keeps its blunt sign-like mass while picking up a worn printed feel.

That balance gives short titles a firm role on posters, packaging, record sleeves, beer labels, and workshop branding. The squared curves and scattered wear also lend themselves to retro industrial graphics, exhibit headings, and product marks where solid shapes look better slightly used than perfectly clean.
