Malacates

Malacates designed in 1998 by Listemageren, is an ancient dingbat font of circular emblems and ring-shaped medallions. Spiral bands, rosette centers, and compact carved patterns run through the set, giving the ornaments one family resemblance even when the details change.

This free dingbat font is suitable for decorative dividers, crest-style logos, poster seals, invitation accents, scrapbook embellishments, and section markers, especially where a round symbolic mark has more presence than a plain bullet. The repeated circular motifs also fit border treatments and chapter breaks that need an ancient symbol without crowding the page.
