Minerva Italic, designed by Neale Davidson, is a free modern display font with a hard-charging, aerodynamic profile. Its broad, steeply slanted letters combine dense, weighty strokes with clipped joins, tight interior spaces, squared shoulders, and rounded outer corners. Several forms have deep cuts that sharpen the silhouette and keep the lettering from looking like a conventional mechanically slanted sans serif.
Sports branding is its clearest fit. The same forward lean and low, wide build also suit motorsport posters, team merchandise, game title screens, and automotive packaging, since each can draw on speed stripes, vehicle panels, race numbers, and performance badges.
