Mosaic Initials by PJL is a free Gothic initials font, designed in 2002, with framed capitals packed with mosaic-like curls and floral knots. The repeated square borders and filled centers make each letter feel like a small ornamental panel rather than a plain initial.

Mosaic Initials suits drop caps, book covers, wedding invitations, certificates, and monograms where one decorated letter has to carry the entire page. Its dense framing also fits chapter openers, heritage-style logos, and other decorative accents that need a formal manuscript-style cue.
