Old Standard TT Bold, designed by Alexey Kryukov, is a free high-contrast serif with the formal bearing of traditional book type. Broad vertical strokes meet hairline serifs, and the letters shift sharply between thick and thin. The proportions are stately and compact.
Publishing is its clearest home: literary covers and historical editions benefit from the firm, period-minded shapes, and museum graphics can draw on the same scholarly air. It is also well suited to classical music posters and cultural event programs, but its strongest role remains editorial display work where the severe contrast and tall forms can establish an unmistakably traditional voice.
