Parador Tryout

Parador, from M. Bujardet, is a free western display font with the blunt swagger of old saloon lettering. Its heavy, rounded letters are interrupted by sharp little horned cuts at the top and bottom, a repeated detail that gives the alphabet a carved, saddle-shop feel instead of a plain retro revival.

It fits best where a few words need atmosphere: poster titles, liquor or barbecue labels, festival flyers, shop signs, and album or book covers. As a free font, Parador Tryout also makes sense for short headlines, title cards, and monograms, because those hooked notches do so much of the mood-setting on their own.
