Rhyme Chronicle 1494, by Rane Rordam Knudsen, is a free medieval Gothic font with a dense blackletter voice and a slightly storybook pull. The letters lean on sharp broken curves, heavy vertical rhythm, and pointed feet that give the line a carved, old-world texture without feeling fussy.

It suits posters, book covers, tavern menus, album titles, and event branding where you want a historical note that still feels lively. As a free font, it also works well for short headlines, chapter openers, and title cards, since the dark color and angular movement give even a few words a strong medieval atmosphere.

This is one of my first fonts, modelled on letters I scanned from The Great Danish Rhyme Cronichle of 1494.
