Salutatorian Engraved, designed by Alexander Grecian of Elemeno, is a free engraved display font with broad, uneven letterforms and a deliberately fractured outline. Layered contour lines curl through the letters, and stray cuts and specks give the forms the look of hand-carved signage worn by repeated printing.
Album covers and retro drink packaging can both use its restless linework to suggest loud, offbeat culture. It also fits gig posters and screen-printed merchandise. The font is most convincing when lettering itself needs to resemble a rough illustration.
