Soviet X-Expanded Italic

Soviet X Expanded Italic by Iconian Fonts is a free Russian-style italic display font with the hard, forward-thrusting attitude of Constructivist lettering. The letters lean sharply and lock into angular, cut-corner shapes, with broad strokes and compact openings that make the whole font feel engineered, posterish, and a little severe.

It works naturally in propaganda-inspired posters, record sleeves, game branding, event flyers, and title cards where that Soviet-era graphic mood is the point. As a free font, it also fits short cover lines, logo studies, and monograms, because the slanted geometry gives even a few letters a strong sense of motion.
