Zoltan Kiss

Zoltan, Dieter Schumacher's free retro display font from 1998, leans into a chunky 70s mood with low-slung letters, soft corners, and broad, blocky shapes. The forms feel squat and playful, but the cut-in slabs and squared curves keep it grounded in poster lettering rather than cartoon styling.

It fits record sleeves, bar and cafe branding, event posters, magazine cover lines, and title cards where a short phrase needs that baked-in period flavor. As a free font, Zoltan also works well for logos and drop-in headlines because the letters lock together with a compact, almost modular rhythm.
