Whirly Wood by Roland Huse is a free distressed old-school display font with the uneven bite of hand-cut lettering. Its tall, narrow letters shift sharply between broad strokes and fine pointed joins. Ragged edges and exaggerated hooks give the line a restless, theatrical silhouette.
Horror posters are its clearest home, especially with folklore or handmade stage scenery. It also suits haunted-attraction signage, dark-fantasy book covers, and music merchandise, but poster titles best exploit its long spikes.
